 Carrickfergus-based The Luxury Planter Collection is being assisted by Invest Northern Ireland to develop its international exports.
The company has analysed various markets including the Baltics and the US in terms of sales opportunities.
As a result of the analysis, the company is keen to exploit the identified US opportunities further and has been assisted by Invest NI to take part in this week’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York to build on initial sales in the US of its range of luxury planters. |
Belfast-based provider of environmental health services Healthy Buildings Ireland Ltd (HBI) is investing over £160,000 with support from Invest Northern Ireland to capitalise on the growing demand for its services across Great Britain.
The expansion programme will create around 15 new jobs over the next 18 months.
Established in 2001, HBI provides range of services assisting property managers with compliance risk management in the construction and built environments. |

 Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has visited Coote Engineering in Ballygawley to congratulate the company on securing orders to the value of almost £1million in Saudi Arabia.
A family-run business, Coote specialises in the design and manufacture of machinery and moulds for the pre-cast concrete industry. It currently employs 28. |

Belfast-based Sysco Software Solutions has secured business in the Republic of Ireland worth over £500,000 with support from Invest Northern Ireland.
This success follows the company’s investment last year towards the research, development and marketing of a new software application for the emerging cloud services sector.
This Hosted Service Management Application (HSMA) is designed to enable workers to remain in the field with customers while maintaining full contact with the office to streamline administration. |

 Texthelp Systems Ltd, the Antrim-based educational software business, has secured its first export sales in Brazil from following up contacts made on a recent Invest Northern Ireland trade mission to this emerging global market.
The company has signed a contract with a major educational publisher in Sao Paulo which will result in its unique ‘Read&Write’ and ‘Fluency Tutor’ software being used to teach English in a network of schools throughout the country.
The breakthrough deal in Brazil was announced by Martin McKay, Texthelp’s Chief Technical Officer, and welcomed by Dr Vicky Kell, Invest NI Trade Director, who said: “This is an extremely significant development for one of our leading software businesses and will position them for accelerated growth in one of the world’s fastest developing markets. |
Ministers launch ni2012 in Delhi at the conclusion of a successful business and trade mission to UAE and India
The First Minister Rt Hon Peter Robinson MLA, and deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness MP,MLA launched ni2012 in Delhi at the end of their trade and business mission to the United Arab Emirates and India. The event was attended by a range of Indian travel operators and travel agents.
During their five day trade and business mission Ministers visited Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Mumbai and New Delhi. |
China is the new America – that is the message being relayed to Northern Ireland entrepreneurs at a series of business briefings hosted this week by the Confucius Institute at the University of Ulster (CIUU).
Three briefings have been organised by CIUU in conjunction with Londonderry Chamber of Commerce, Carrickfergus Council and Belfast City Council.
And as he prepared for a breakfast briefing at Belfast City Hall tomorrow, businessman Philip Gilliland, president of Londonderry Chamber of Commerce, stressed the need for Northern Ireland companies to engage China. |

 Bangor-based company Omnisoft Services Ltd has created 14 new jobs in an expansion driven by the growth of its web design services and the development of a new product for the educational market.
The expansion is being supported by Invest Northern Ireland, which has offered £44,000 of support for 11 of the jobs through its Jobs Fund scheme.
Omnisoft Services was set up in 2009 to provide web design services but has recently diversified into web-based games for children and social media management strategies. |
 Wilson Agri, based near Coleraine, has won business worth more than £150,000 from Hungary for its innovative cow cubicles and mattresses following its participation in an Invest Northern Ireland trade mission last year.
The company, which already sells around 70 per cent of its products outside Northern Ireland, is supplying cubicles and mattresses to farms in Hungary through a dealer in Budapest. The agreement, the company’s first business in central Europe, was signed during the mission to Hungary and Slovenia last June. |

 InterTradeIreland today launched the latest phase of Acumen, its flagship sales and marketing programme, announcing £1m in available funds for SMEs across the island to help them grow their business by targeting new cross-border markets.
The programme, offers local businesses up to £15,000 in funding, to assist them to increase their cross-border export sales, improve their knowledge of new markets and identify new business opportunities. Support options available include assistance towards employing a full time or part time sales person, engaging a graduate for a 12 month sales and marketing project or funding for a market research project. |

The company, which is part of the biggest-ever Invest Northern Ireland trade mission to the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, from 25th to 30th March, has confirmed a major distribution deal and an agreement with a new business partner in Kaunas to develop an innovative product for its portfolio.
Eighteen companies and the University of Ulster are taking part in the week-long mission, the most recent in a programme of Invest NI trade activities in Baltic and Nordic markets. |
Employment and Learning Minister, Dr Stephen Farry today starts a three day visit to Estonia to examine the importance of ICT for economic growth. The trip coincides with a trade mission by 18 Northern Ireland companies seeking new export business.
The Minister will also use the visit to explore how Estonia has used its strengths in information communications technology (ICT) to create jobs and reduce unemployment, especially youth unemployment. |

The company has attributed this success to completion of the Project Management Fundamentals programme supported by the Department for Employment and Learning [DEL]. The Project Management Fundamentals programme, delivered by Parity Solutions Ltd on behalf of DEL, is designed to help business managers develop a more structured approach to management of time, quality and cost. |

 Kircubbin-based Glastry Farm Ice-Cream is being assisted by Invest Northern Ireland to develop an innovative product that will also bring business benefits to Clandeboye Estate Yoghurt in Bangor.
Glastry Farm, an award-winning producer of luxury ice-cream, is using an Invest NI Innovation Voucher to develop a new frozen yoghurt dessert ice-cream. Clandeboye Estate will provide the yoghurt for the new Glastry Farm product being developed to boost sales particularly outside Northern Ireland. |
 Robert Craig and Sons, a Lisburn specialist in industrial pumps for 130 years, has won its first export business in Finland for a unique fuel polishing system following an Invest Northern Ireland trade mission.
The company won initial business in the Baltic region from a leading distributor of standby generators based in Helsinki, the Finnish capital. The polishing system, developed by the Northern Ireland company in partnership with an English manufacturer of fuel filters, eliminates the threat to the environment from diesel fuel that has deteriorated and may have ended up being dumped. |

 CIS Oncology in Belfast is being assisted by Invest Northern Ireland to pinpoint opportunities in South Africa for its sophisticated software for cancer treatment.
The company, part of the CIS Healthcare operation, is following up its participation in the Invest NI’s ‘Going South Africa’ initiative which culminated in a trade mission to South Africa in December, by returning to the market this month.
During this follow-up visit the company has a series of meetings with potential clients interested in its unique ChemoCare software, an electronic prescribing system and management technology for cancer patients. |
 CIGA Healthcare in Ballymena has won its biggest single export deal following an Invest Northern Ireland trade mission to Saudi Arabia in October.
The company is to supply its full range of self-diagnostic products to AM Batterjee, a leading Saudi business located in Jeddah, for a network of pharmacies around the country. The contract is CIGA Healthcare’s first significant business in Saudi Arabia. |
