The Senior Quality Engineer (SDET) will focus on testing all aspects of our SaaS applications.
Proactively debugging complex software components. Using systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Analyze and negotiate requirements and stories
· Develop effective test plans, test cases and test automation
· Measure and report the progress of testing efforts
· Find, document, and bring to closure issues that are found
· Conduct exploratory testing
· Be the quality leader to whom the developers and product owners will look from product/feature inception to release and support
· Lead the development team's effort in continuous process improvement
· Plan, execute, and improve release management
· Make data and metric-driven decisions
Essential Criteria:
· 4 + years of automation development
· Demonstrated experience in creating tests in Java or equivalent
· Experience with performance testing (JMeter, Gatling, etc.)
· Demonstrated experience creating API tests and contract tests
· Experience creating and managing data driven tests
· Adept at writing test plans and test cases
· Experience creating and extending test automation frameworks
· Experience with Jira or any other issues tracking software
· Self-motivated and shows initiative to take on tasks.
· Experience with either Scrum or Kanban.
Desired Criteria:
· Knowledge of AWS environment
· Knowledge of Unix-based systems and environments
· Experience with XML, JSON, and other mark-up languages
· Experience with Cassandra or other no-SQL technologies
· Experience with the MapReduce model, preferably Hadoop/EMR
· Experience with SQL and/or other RDB technologies
· Experience building Selenium-based UI tests
