Allstate NI is celebrating today (21 April 2014) after being named as winners of a Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development - the UK's highest honour for business success. The company received its award for Sustainable Development in recognition of a sustainable employment model which creates prosperity, promotes work-life health and uses resources efficiently.

The company received their first Queens Award for International Trade in April 2005 and will receive their second award in 2014 for Sustainable Development at a ceremony in London in July.

US-owned Allstate Northern Ireland was established in Belfast in 1998 and has grown to over 2,200 employees in a relatively short time to become Northern Ireland's largest IT company. It provides high quality software development services and high end business solutions in support of its US parent's operations, the Allstate Corporation, the largest publicly held personal lines property and casualty insurer in America.
On average only 10 companies each year have received the Queen's Award for Sustainable Development and Allstate NI is delighted to have received this award for outstanding business achievement. Winners of The Queen's Awards can expect an invitation to attend a special reception at Buckingham Palace. They can also use The Queen's Award Emblem in advertising, marketing and on packaging for a period of five years as a symbol of their quality and success.
