What is your company’s elevator pitch?
We are launching Exiseco, a secure web-based platform that allows you to manage multiple social networks (day-one it's Twitter and Facebook). It’s in the “cloud”, so it’s always on and always working for you – from identifying customer mood and spotting real opportunities to building your brand and watching your competitor’s.
Who is using Social Networks and Why?
Social Networks are changing how companies interact with their customers. Marketing, support and sales are being revolutionised by how companies are reaching out and talking directly to their customers. Of the Fortune Global 100 companies, 65% have active Twitter accounts and 54% have Facebook fan pages and they’re using them! On average they are making 27 tweets and 3.6 posts per week.
That’s great and people have never been so well connected, but for these companies it can mean a lot of time, effort and money. On top of this, we think that a lot of companies are missing the opportunity to listen to what their customers and competitors are saying.
So, we are building Exiseco to make listening an intrinsic part of the process and to give businesses an efficient means to manage their social network presence.
We also see this flow of information generated by, directed at and about companies as the very definition of a company’s “Social Data”. We want to help companies use this Social Data productively.
What is different about your product?
It has a host of cool features to let you track alerts (on your company and competitors), schedule updates, manage client interactions/conversations as threads, produce real-time stats and mine social data to identify opportunities for your business.
We’re kicking off a private beta so that we get the chance to hear what our customers want and let them shape the platform. Of course, we’ll be using social networks to get this feedback!
What’s the business model?
Again, we’re going to want to hear from our customers on what model works for them. But, we see it being subscription based with different entry points depending on the functionality they need.
What advice would you give to other startups and/or people starting out in the business?
Plug into social network, get online, talk with your market (not at it), turn them into customers and then keep them happy.
Be transparent, honest and have fun!
What trends in the industry really excite you?
We’re tracking geo-location services closely; how they will plug into the social networks and be picked up and used by individuals and companies.
Of course, we believe we are helping to define the term “Social Data”, how companies and people manage, use and protect this will really drive the industry.
