Queen’s University Belfast and Northeastern University are launching a pioneering dual Master’s degree, designed to produce a new generation of graduates fluent in both artificial intelligence and global business strategy.
The programme has been jointly designed and will be delivered by both institutions, bringing together complementary strengths in business education and applied artificial intelligence.
Unlike traditional dual degrees that are completed sequentially, the programme has been intentionally streamlined into an 18-month course based in London. This integrated structure enables students to graduate with two standalone MSc qualifications in a cost-efficient way:

The programme will be delivered through experiential learning that will equip students with practical, career-ready skills. As businesses worldwide race to adopt AI, employers are increasingly seeking professionals who can bridge boardroom strategy with AI delivery – a talent gap that this new programme has been designed to address. Graduates will be equipped for roles including strategy manager, AI product lead, digital transformation consultant and responsible AI governance specialist.
Queen’s Business School, which is triple accredited by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS, and placed among the top 1% of business schools globally, will bring expertise in international business, innovation and responsible leadership. NU London contributes strengths in experiential learning, applied AI and data-driven education – alongside its central London location, which provides the opportunity to study, research and network within a major global business ecosystem.
Together, the two institutions combine complementary global networks. NU’s global campus network and more than 2,400 partner organisations across seven continents provide international reach, while Queen’s strong links to the FinTech and cyber security sectors in Belfast offer powerful industry connections in a rapidly growing innovation hub.
The new dual degree will welcome its inaugural student cohort to Northeastern University’s London campus in September 2026. It will mark the first dual Master’s degree programme developed by Queen’s University Belfast with an international partner, with plans for future delivery at Queen’s University Belfast’s campus in GIFT City, India, in 2027. The announcement was made at a formal signing and launch event in Boston, attended by senior leaders from both universities.
Queen’s President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Ian Greer, said:
“This dual Master’s degree represents a significant step forward in preparing our graduates for the future of global business and artificial intelligence. By combining the academic strengths of Queen’s and Northeastern University London, we are creating an innovative programme that will equip graduates with the strategic and technical expertise employers are increasingly demanding.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to international collaboration and to shaping the next generation of leaders in an AI-driven world.”
The new dual degree strengthens Queen’s international profile and supports its global strategy, positioning the University as a leader in shaping future-focused business education in an AI-driven world.
