Craigavon-based smart technology installation company Epitome Living has recruited Jacob Vallelly as its first graduate hire.
Jacob joins the company as a graduate systems engineer. The first-of-its-kind role at Epitome Living will see Jacob split his time between configuring technology systems in the company’s workshop and installing the technology on site alongside the company’s installation team.
Epitome Living was founded in 2017 to enhance people’s lives at home with technology that automates everyday tasks like turning on lights, controlling the building’s temperature, and opening and closing blinds.

Since then, the company has diversified to deliver smart technology and audiovisual installations in commercial settings like showrooms, offices, and hospitality venues whilst retaining its core residential smart home offerings.
Jacob’s appointment sees Epitome Living’s workforce grow by 50% in the past twelve months. The company also completed its biggest residential project to date earlier this year, and was more recently shortlisted as a finalist in the CEDIA Smart Home Awards 2026. The shortlisting recognises the company for its excellence in the design and installation of smart technology in a commercial setting.
Speaking on the appointment and what it means for the company, Scott McMurray, founder and director of Epitome Living, said: “A new hire brings fresh energy to a team, and when they’re a graduate, they also bring a wealth of academic knowledge and experience that they’re ready to put into action.
