    The Lead Test Automation Engineer role is part of the Arity Product Performance test team.  This role will support critical strategic design and progressive, fully autonomous testing solutions across our Arity Product suite. Utilizing agile methodologies and extensive cloud technologies Arity is creating the future of continuous testing and we now need a strong, energetic, and inquisitive engineer to play a key role in our Arity team.

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

     

    • The Lead Test Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the strategy and design for the continuous delivery framework
    • and tools.
    • They need to analyse the long-term impact of any new strategies and contribute to the overall Arity strategy. Contributing to the technology
    • strategy and engineering roadmaps around our cloud and non-cloud platforms, whilst initiating and implementing continuous improvements in
    • test automation activities and related CI/CD responsibility.
    • Anticipating issues and developing preventative measures is another key responsibility.
    • The Lead Test Automation Engineer needs to manage workloads in an Agile development environment. Balance their time between maintaining and
    • troubleshooting existing framework, building new frameworks if needed, conduct POCs and build CI/CD jobs to enhance automated test execution.
    • Engaging appropriate stakeholders in risk identification and mitigation Designs, whilst developing strategic technical direction for highly
    • integrated, autonomous test solutions.
    • Administering and imposing proper test automation standards and implementing best practices for the test automation engineers that are
    • part of Agile teams.
    • Provide guidance and leading team members with functional test automation and CI/CD related activities.

     

     

     

    The Person

     

    This role is ideal for someone who has a real passion for technology and are advocates of software engineering best practices and continuous

     improvement and enjoys keeping up to date in industry trends and best practice.

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as an automation engineer within an agile environment
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins & GitHub
    • Working knowledge of scripting languages e.g., Java, Python, JACL, Node.js, Bash and Groovy
    • Experienced in collaborating with others and delivering innovated solutions
    • Experience building POCs
    • Experience with building from scratch test automation framework development & support

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Experience with delivering using Agile methodology practices
    • Experience of cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry
    • Experience with API gateways such as APIGEE and Akamai
    • Knowledge of application security
    • Experience in mobile application development and publishing – IOS or Android
    • Experience in mobile application testing – IOS or Android
