That was the message from Allstate NI at BelTech 2016.
As one of this year’s key sponsors for BelTech the tech giant was out on force at the two day conference and their message was that Northern Ireland is their hub for innovation and advanced development.
Allstate Vice President of Innovation Doug Safford held a session to talk about their transformation journey towards Extreme Agile development.
“With a storm on the horizon for the Insurance industry, there was a need for a fundamental change. With a product mindset and a customer focus we are moving towards a culture of innovation.
“Allstate Northern Ireland is our global center of innovation and advanced development. Through our in house Extreme Agile development labs, CompoZed, we are empowering our developers to build quality products our users want, at speed.”
Allstate NI’s Architecture Services’ Columb Duffy says they are going against the risk adverse reputation of Insurance.
“With the promotion of an innovation culture so goes the blame culture, we need to tell our people more often to ‘Go do it! Ask for forgiveness later.’
“We need to get there quicker, fail faster and learn more.”
